Turbidity Curtains are installed to protect the surrounding wildlife and environment from harm due work being done inside the barrier. Turbidity curtains vary in accordance to what they are being utilized to protect against. There is a wide variety of projects including dredging operations, concrete pouring operations, hazardous material remediation, salvage operations to name a few. Depending on what the scope of work is, that will determine what level the curtain has to protect against. The curtains typically come in Type I, II, and III, Type I being the most porous and Type III being impervious.
